Cameron McLean
SVP and Board Member, International Markets, PayPalCameron McLean leads PayPal’s international business across 177 markets, which include parts of Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Asia and Latin America. In his role as Senior Vice President, International Markets, Cameron is responsible for PayPal’s commercial growth in some of the world’s largest and most dynamic economies, including Brazil, China, India, Japan and Mexico.
With over 20 years experience as a senior executive at leading technology and financial services organizations, Cameron has played a key role in driving strong business performance across a range of global markets.
Cameron joined eBay Inc through PayPal’s acquisition of VeriSign Payment Services in 2005 and has since held a series of leadership roles at the company. From 2012 he served as Managing Director and Vice President of the United Kingdom and Ireland, and in 2016 added Germany, Austria and Switzerland to his European leadership remit. Cameron was a member of PayPal’s management team for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. From June 2018 to April 2019, Cameron served as Vice President and Commercial Officer of PayPal’s Core Markets including the United States, Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In November 2018 Cameron’s role was expanded to lead PayPal’s global large enterprise customer segment. Earlier in his career Cameron was part of the foundation team that launched internet banking at the Australian bank Westpac where he was Manager, Electronic Commerce.
Cameron graduated from the Australian National University in Canberra with a Master of Management (Technology) degree and holds Bachelor of Business degrees in Banking and Finance, as well as International Trade from Monash University in Melbourne. Cameron is a keen sportsman and, in his youth, he captained his state in rugby union and played representative rugby for Australia at Schools and University levels.
