In his current role Diwakar leads the manufacturing segment of Genpact, which has some of the largest clients for the company. The areas of work include consulting, digital, technology, finance, supply chain, analytics, and engineering services.

Diwakar started his career with Supply Chain operations at Xerox. He joined General Electric (GE) as part of the core team and pioneered setting up the GE Capital operations in India. He has handled positions of increasing responsibility for the last 23 years and has led to setting up the Genpact centre in China. He has successfully led some large initiatives to expand to tier 2 cities in India working closely with the government and social ecosystem.
Diwakar is on the BPM Council of NASSCOM, on the board of National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE) Mumbai and an independent director for the Indian government-sponsored Rajasthan Venture Capital Fund. Diwakar is a chemical engineer from NIT, Jaipur and has an MBA from NITIE, Mumbai. He lives with his family in Gurugram, aryana, India.
