Nishant Arya is the Vice Chairman & MD of the US $2.2bn global Indian conglomerate JBM Group and Chairman of Linde Wiemann GmbH, Germany. JBM Group is present across sectors such as Auto components & systems, Electric Vehicles & Buses, EV Charging Infra, EV Aggregates, Engineering & Design services, Renewable Energy, Environment Management, Artificial Intelligence, etc. Today, the Group’s portfolio comprises 60 manufacturing plants, 10 power plants and 5 engineering & design centers across 10 countries.

Nishant represents the face of today’s young and dynamic business leaders who are actively contributing towards the Indian growth story. He is a graduate in Business Administration from Bradford University,

U.K and has further studied in the London School of Economics. Having undergone extensive industrial trainings in various European and Japanese organizations during 2008-2009, Nishant has had multifold exposure is diverse aspects of business and industry. With his innovative ideas and dynamic leadership traits he has transformed JBM Group to a well-diversified conglomerate with a global footprint. He took charge as the Executive Director of JBM Group back in 2010. Since then, driven with a strong desire towards sustaining the environment while scaling the business, Nishant has played a pivotal role in transitioning the Group from being product driven to now a sustainable solutions provider in each of its business domains.

As a thought leader in the Indian EV space, Nishant has conceptualized an end-to-end e-mobility ecosystem which has been indigenously designed by JBM to foster faster deployment of electric vehicles in the country. Infact, JBM has been a pioneer in designing and manufacturing electric buses that are now currently operating in multiple states pan India. As a responsible corporate citizen JBM Group has committed that its electric buses will be clocking 1 billion e-kms in next 3 years, thereby, saving around 300 million litres of diesel and approximately 1 billion kg of CO2.

Nishant has been instrumental in creating some unique business models at JBM Group by strategically synergizing diverse domains such as energy storage, EV charging and solar power, towards devising an integrated zero emission solution fostering green footprint. Recently, Nishant also represented India in the UN climate change conference – COP26. Furthermore, he also played an active role in the Dubai World Expo 2021 representing Indian competencies in domains such as EV ecosystem, Smart Cities, etc.

Nishant also currently leads multiple portfolios in leadership capacity in several industry bodies in India and across the world. Under his stewardship, the flagship company of JBM Group, JBM Auto Ltd. was recognized amongst the ‘Top 10 greatest value creators’ by Fortune India. More recently, JBM Auto was felicitated by Economic Times – Most Promising Plants and Best Innovation award by the World Auto Forum. Nishant has been recently selected to the prestigious ET 40 Under 40. He has also been recognized in the Business World 40 under 40 summit and as the ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ by Entrepreneur Media Group, India. JBM Auto was also awarded the India Shared Mobility Solution Provider by Frost & Sullivan and has also been recently felicitated for Outstanding Green Energy Initiatives in Electric Vehicles by the Indian Federation of Green Energy.
