Chief Executive Officer, Edelweiss Wealth Management

Nitin brings in two decades of experience the financial services industry where he has been responsible for heading leadership businesses across wealth management, alternative asset management, asset reconstruction & capital markets. He has also spearheaded multiple acquisitions and integration over the past decade and has been successful in the turnaround of many such businesses.

In 2010, he seeded the wealth management business, and today it stands as one of the largest in the country. Under his leadership, Edelweiss Wealth Management (EWM) witnessed significant growth and currently advises over ~$17 bn worth of assets across ~600,000 clients. Prior to taking on his current responsibilities in August 2020, Nitin was also co-heading the Edelweiss Asset Management practice, where he played a pivotal role in making it India’s largest alternative asset management platform.

An avid investor, Nitin has successfully delivered the Edelweiss’ investment capabilities across Private Credit, Real Estate, Infrastructure & Hedge Funds to the global institutional client community, including public and private pension plans, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, endowments and consultants. He also helped Edelweiss forge multiple strategic partnerships with institutions such as PAG, Bank of Singapore, Gallagher, CDPQ, Allianz, to name a few.

He has been actively involved with EdelGive Foundation – the strategic philanthropic arm of the Edelweiss Group and is a part of their investment committee.

Nitin holds a B.Tech. degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, with a Post-Graduation in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.
