At HCLTech, Prateek has driven Shareholder Value Creation by reinstating quantified guidance, improving Capital Allocation Policy and refocusing leadership to focus on TSR, ROIC and Net Income growth, apart from Revenue & EBIT. Prateek also played a pivotal role in shaping HCL’s Software strategy and scaling Products & Platforms business, as well as leading mergers and acquisitions pursuits.

He has successfully orchestrated many high-profile acquisitions by the company to augment its strategic growth, including leading the largest ever acquisition in Indian IT industry – $1.8 Bn acquisition of 7 select Software products from IBM – announced in Dec’18; closed in June’19.

HCLTech also raised $500 Mn via a maiden ‘benchmark’ US/Global Bond issue in Mar’21 under Prateek’s leadership, the highest ever rated Bonds issued from India (A- by S&P and Fitch) at best yield of 1.477% for 5-year tenor. HCLTech Treasury has also been recognized twice as
winners of Adam Smith award and by the Working Capital Group recently.

Prateek is a graduate in Commerce from SRCC, Delhi, and holds an MBA degree from IIM, Calcutta. He also completed an M&A certificate course from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. His experience includes working with organizations like Hindustan Unilever and GECIS/Genpact, among others.

Prateek is married and has a daughter and a son. He enjoys reading, adventure sports, and traveling with family during vacations
