Samir Jain is the Vice Chairman & Managing Director, Times Group. A Bachelor of Arts from St Stephen’s College, he is the architect of The Times Group as we know it today, having charted its strategic direction, and having played an instrumental role as Chief Innovation Mentor, directing the group’s trajectory of continued growth and market dominance over the years.

Under Samir Jain’s leadership, BCCL, the flagship Print Publishing business, has expanded to form The Times Group, India’s largest media conglomerate, with presence in Print, Radio, Digital, Television and Out-of-Home (in addition to key non-media plays such as Education).

Samir Jain advises and mentors leadership of all Times businesses on their strategy and roadmap, and regularly identifies opportunities for synergy and cross-pollination within the group. In addition, he provides guidance on any business problem that catches his eye, big or small, and oversees group-level projects.
